Welcome To My Website On Solar Lights
Hello everyone, my name is Jimmy and I am passionate about conservation and taking care of our planet. I strive to do my best in my daily life to live as green of a lifestyle as it possibly can. I put this website together in hopes of convincing other people to do their part when it comes to conservation. Using solar lights is one way that everyone can start making the planet a better place for us all to live.
We may not all be in the position to convert our homes to be powered by solar panels. But most of us can utilize solar light fixtures. We can utilize solar panels in outdoor solar lighting, solar garden lights, solar utility lights, solar pond lights, solar driveway markers, solar porch lights, and more.
Every day manufacturers are coming up with more and more types of solar lights. I hope to cover everything that you are looking for here but if there’s something that I’ve missed please feel free to e-mail me at greenjimmyjoe@yahoo.com. I’ll be happy to answer all your emails and update my website according to the requests that I receive.
This website is about solar lights but there are so many other things that each of us can do to make this world a better place for us to live in and for our children to inherit. Some things I’d like to just plant in your mind for you to think about are:
- Look for every chance that you can during the day to recycle. You would be surprised how often this is. Take a second before you throw that “trash” in the trash can. You may be surprised that it’s not actually trash at all. Many times what you think this trash, is actually the raw material for a new product that’s waiting to be manufactured.
- Look around your house for a items that can be unplugged. Many people don’t know that simple electronic devices like cellphone chargers, video game chargers, VCRs, DVD players, televisions, stereo systems, and more us
e electricity while they are turned off. This process of stealing electricity when we think the power is turned off is called “vampire” or “phantom” loads. We can save an enormous amount of electricity as a planet by simply unpluging these devices when not being used. The simplest way is to connect all of these devices to a power strip and when you are not using them during the night or while you are at work, simply turn the switch off on the power strip.
Thanks for visiting my site on solar lights!
