When it comes to electricity, one can’t be too careful. Unless you are a qualified electrician or have the help of a qualified electrician, it’s generally not a good idea to do you own electrical work. This is also true for outside lights. Installing solar lights may be the exception to this rule depending on what type of solar light fixture you are installing. Some types of solar light fixtures are very simple to install. I’ll take some time in this article to discuss solar lights installation.

An example of solar lights are simple driveway lights. These outside lights couldn’t be easier to install. No electrical experience is necessary when installing solar driveway lights. Solar driveway markers are designed to simply be taken out of the package and pressed into the ground. They consist of a post that is driven into the ground, the solar light fixture housing, an energy efficient light bulb, a rechargeable battery, a small solar panel, a small charge controller circuit (to prevent the battery from being over charged), and a photo electric eye (to automatically switch these outside lights on when the sun goes down). Another type of solar lighting is solar walkway lighting. These handy solar lights will make your walkway much safer to walk on at night and add to the beauty of your landscape.

There are really only two main things to keep in mind when installing this type of outdoor solar light fixture. The first is that the posts that you are supposed to drive into the ground are often made out of plastic. Care should be taken to avoid bending or breaking the post if you are driving it into hard soil. You may have to use a small shovel to dig a hole for the post to go into. The second thing to keep in mind is that the fixture must be installed in a location where it will be exposed to enough sunlight for the built in solar panel to fully charge the battery each day. Plan out where you would like the solar driveway lights to be and then watch the area periodically throughout the day to see if there is an adequate amount of sunlight in the location. These solar lights don’t have to be in direct sunlight all day but the longer it is exposed to the sun, the better chance it has fully charge.

Another type of solar light fixture is composed of a solar panel that is connected to the light fixture via a long cord. Outdoor flood lights fall into this category. These porch lights are much more flexible in where you can install it. A general rule of thumb when installing solar panels is to install them facing South. With this type of solar light fixture, you can mount the panel in a location where the sun will shine on it for the majority of the day, and you can install the actual outdoor flood light in a shady location.

Solar patio lighting is also easy to install. You generally just mount the solar panel in a sunny location and mount the solar light fixture in the area where you will want to have light. Outdoor patio lighting can not only light up your patio, it can also be a real mood enhancer if used properly. Might I suggest that you install patio lighting on a dimmer switch so you can turn down the lights to set the appropriate mood. This will give you much more flexibility in how you can use the patio lighting on your patio.

Another very popular type of solar lighting is solar garden lights. These clever light fixtures can really change the mood of any garden when used properly. Solar rock lights are also very handy and require not installation at all. Solar rock lights are perfect for solar pathway lighting. All you have to do is position them where you would like the light. That’s all there is to it.

As you can see, these solar lights can be easily installed by inexperienced people. Most are designed so that no wiring needs to be done. This means there is no need to hire an electrician and therefore they make perfect DIY’er projects.

Solar decking lights are also easy to install and can save you quite a bit of money on your electric bill. Many people install often install a solar spotlight on their decks. After the initial purchase, you’ll never have to pay a penny for the lighting that they give you.

After taking on the job of installing solar lights on your home, you can relax in your rocking chair under you patio umbrella lights and feel satisfied that in a small way you are doing your part to help save the planet.

Another really cool use of solar panels that many people don’t think about are these flexible, portable charging stations. I have several of them and take them with me when I’m enjoying the great outdoors. When I need to charge one of my portable electronic devices such as my Kindle 4 or my cell phone, I simple unroll the flexible solar pad and plug my devices in. Then while I’m eating lunch or taking a break, my gadgets get charged up. If you don’t own one of these portable solar pads, you really should buy one. They’re great!

Today I’ll be talking about a very interesting use of solar lights called solar pathway lighting. The solar lights are a great way to a add an element a safety to your pathway as well as a charming addition to your landscaping.

Solar pathway lights come in many different varieties. They can be as simple as solar driveway markers that are playing double duty or you can spice up your pathway even more by using solar rock lights to give your pathway a little bit of a more rustic appearance. The most beneficial use for solar pathway lighting is to improve the safety of walking down your pathway during the night.

We have installed pathway lighting on our property in a couple of locations. Our horse corrals are located about 800 feet from our home and there isn’t any electricity going back to the corrals. Walking out at night to check on the horses if we think there’s a problem was quite dangerous because we live in the woods where there are lots of trees and rocks and it was quite easy to run into a tree or twist your ankle if you weren’t really careful. After installing solar pathway lights, it became much safer and easier to make the long dark journey out to check on the horses at night.

If you’ve ever gone to a movie theater, you know how difficult it can be finding your way down the stairs and to the door after a long movie. Your eyes simply have an adjusted to the lighting in the theater once the movie finishes. Movie theaters have similar lights along the edges of the stairs so that you can see exactly where to step. This is how solar pathway lighting works. They don’t output a lot of light because they don’t need to. Their main purpose is to give you a visual reference of exactly where to place your feet while you’re walking down your pathway at night.

While they are primarily utilitarian in nature, they can also improve the look of your landscaping quite a bit. There are several variety’s of solar pathway lights for you to choose from. If you have a rustic landscape, you might be interested in purchasing some solar rock lights and strategically position them along the pathway to provide your pathway lighting needs.

These solar lights are extremely easy to install because there is no wiring needed whatsoever. You simply remove them from the box and place them in the location that you would like the light to be. The hardest part will be pressing them into the ground if you happen to hit of tree rook or a rock in the area you want them to be. Here’s a tip for you. If you happen to hit a tree root while you are pressing the pathway lights take into the ground, you can use a long drill bit on an electric drill to make a hole through the root. This won’t hurt the tree at all and it’ll make inserting the stake for the solar pathway lighting much easier.

If you have a cement pathway, you might be interested in installing some pathway lights that glue or bolt down to the cement pathway. When shopping for these, they are normally found under solar driveway lights or solar driveway markers. This may be the perfect solution for you if you live in a concrete jungle. These solar lights are just as effective but instead of sticking them into the ground, they are either glued for bolted to the concrete. If you both them to the concrete, you will use a special drill bit that is designed for drilling in cement. Then, you will insert lead or plastic cement anchors into the hole that you drilled and simply secure the pathway light to the cement a bolt.

One of the nice things about solar pathway lighting is that they don’t require any electricity. They get all of the energy that they need to produce the light that they put out from the power of the sun. These small solar light fixtures have rechargeable batteries in them and a solar panel on top. The solar panel converts the energy from the sun into electricity and the rechargeable batteries store electricity for use at night.

They also have photoelectric eyes that automatically turn them on at night and automatically turn them off it in the morning. This is a great feature and it’s makes it quite convenient because you don’t have to remember to turn the lights on or off.

Most solar pathway lighting is quite energy efficient as well to make the charge in the batteries last much longer. In the majority of cases, these solar lights will be equipped with LED light bulbs which are much energy efficient than incandescent or halogen light bulbs.

If you have a pathway at your home that would benefit from some solar pathway lighting, why not invest in your safety and improve the look of your landscaping at the same time by purchasing some solar pathway lights.

If you are like most people, you probably haven’t given much thought to outdoor patio lighting. Most homes that have patios on them have some sort of patio light. In most cases however, these outdoor patio lights generally leave a lot to be desired. Maybe you’re thinking, a light is just a light isn’t it? If you are, read on to discover how you can improve your outdoor patio lighting and make spending time on your patio a much more enjoyable time.

Almost all outdoor patio lighting consists of a simple, one light bulb fixture. It seems that when they build homes, they throw these plain-Jane light fixtures on the side of peoples house’s for the sake of being able to say that they installed a patio light. You probably put quite a bit more time and effort into choosing the light fixtures in your house. There are probably a number of reasons why you spent more time and effort choosing your indoor light fixtures. Many of the same reasons that motivate you to put a little bit more time and effort into choosing the perfect indoor light fixtures also apply to patio lighting.

A lot of people really enjoy spending time on their patios. Whether it’s for having a family barbecue or just sitting on the patio and spending time with friends, there’s something about spending time on the patio that is hard to beat. The problem with most outdoor patio light fixtures is that they put out a a little bit of light in one area and they aren’t very good at fully illuminating the entire patio. The only solution to the problem is to install a more powerful light bulb in the existing patio light fixture. This isn’t the best solution because what ends up happening is you then have one very bright area on your patio and the rest of your patio is just adequately lit.

A much better solution would be to install outdoor patio lighting fixtures that have multiple light bulbs that can be aimed to direct the light onto a particular area of your patio. If you install this type of patio light on your patio, you can have light aimed at the key areas of your patio. For example, you may want to aim one of the bulbs at your barbecue grill. You may want to aim another light bulb at your hot tub. Get the picture?

You can make these outdoor patio lights even more versatile by mixing and matching light bulbs. Let’s say that you have one area of your patio that you would like to be gently illuminated. You could install a low wattage light bulb in one of the light bulb outlets and aim that bulb at the area where you want the patio to be dimly lit. If you have a barbecue grill on your patio that you use during the evening hours, you will likely want this area to be well lit. You could install a higher wattage light bulb in another of the light bulb outlets and aim that light bulb at your barbecue grill.

Another option for improving your outdoor patio lights is to install a dimmer switch instead of a standard on/off switch. There may be occasions when you want to set the perfect mood for your sweetheart by sharing a glass of wine on the patio after dinner. An occasion like this might call for very soft lighting. If you have a dimmer switch installed for your outdoor patio lights, you can dial down the light to easily set the perfect mood.

Since my website is primarily about solar lights, it seems appropriate to discuss outdoor solar patio lights. There are many high quality solar patio lights on the market these days. They’re extremely easy to install and after you have made the initial investment of purchasing the outdoor solar patio lights, you will never have to pay to use them. The sun will provide all of the energy necessary to illuminate your patio during the evening hours.

One last thought about outdoor patio light fixtures that I would like to leave you with. I almost forgot to mention this but it is worth mentioning. There’s absolutely no reason to have only one outdoor patio light fixture on your patio. There may be occasions when you would like to light up your but patio like it was daytime and there may be other occasions when you would prefer to have the patio dimly lit. One good solution to this scenario is to install multiple patio lights. It’s not that much harder to do and the electrical wiring of already there. The only thing that is required is that you install another switch. If you choose to go this route, you can install an outdoor floodlight for occasions when you want to really light the patio up like a police helicopter was flying overhead. The versatility of having more than one light fixture on your patio would be well worth the time and effort.

In today’s article, I’m going to talk a little bit about why you should buy a solar spotlight. Solar lights have a special place in my heart as I am very concerned about the environment and try to do all I can to minimize my carbon footprint on the world. I think many people feel the same way that I do but oftentimes they don’t know where to start or if they can even have an impact on the world. One of the easiest ways to make a significant impact on the world’s dependency on fossil fuel is for people to start using solar lights.

Once you have a initially purchased a solar spotlight, that fixture will provide you with endless amounts of free light, you’ll never have to pay one single penny for the light that solar spotlights produce. They require minimal maintenance and are pretty much trouble free. The only thing that you may need to do is change a light bulb or change the rechargeable battery from time to time. This is still much less expensive than paying for the electricity that a standard spotlight uses. Not only that, you are also doing your part to keep the planet green by using less energy that is generated from the burning of fossil fuels.

The solar spot lights of days past left a lot to be desired. They were poor excuses for spotlights and didn’t put out very much light at all. The solar powered spotlights of today are much higher in quality. Solar panel technology has advanced, super bright LED light bulbs are now available, and rechargeable battery technology has significantly advanced. These three advancements in technology have made it possible for manufacturers to put out some very high quality solar spotlights at very reasonable prices. You can purchase very good quality solar spot lights for between $50 and $100.

The advancements in rechargeable battery technology have been very important in the improvement of solar powered spotlights but I would have to say the main reason that a solar spotlight that you can purchased today is so much better than the units that you could purchase a few years ago is because of the advancements of super bright LED light bulbs. LED light bulbs are not knew by any means. They have been around for quite some time. Unfortunately, their use for practical lighting left a lot to be desired because they simply didn’t put out very much light. Special super bright LED light bulbs are now available that rival the amount of light that is put out by a regular spotlight but they’re much more efficient so they use much less electricity than a standard incandescent spotlight would use.

Most solar spotlights utilize some form of highly polished reflector to harness the light of these super bright LED light bulbs and focus them in the direction that you aim the spotlight. This is another reason that the solar spot lights of today put out so much more light than those of the past.

These clever solar lights are very easy to install. No special tools are required and you don’t need to have any experience in electrical work. There are absolutely no wires to connect so there’s nothing that can go wrong. All you need to do is position the solar panel in an area that is the facing south if you live in the United States since this will provide the most sun exposure for the solar panel. When you have selected the location for the solar panel, you simply fasten it to a solid surface such as a post or your building with the supplied mounting brackets and mounting screws.

Then, all you need to do is choose the location for the spotlight. Most solar spotlights will come with a long cord that connects the solar panel to the actual light fixture. This is so that you can mount the solar panel in a location where it will get the most sun and still mount the light fixture in the location that you would like the light to be.

Some solar spot lights are equipped with motion sensors and some are not. The choice is really up to you as to which type you purchase. Many are also equipped with photoelectric eyes which is basically a simple switch that automatically turns the light fixture on when the sun goes down and automatically turns it off when the sun comes up.

One of the nicest things about a solar spotlight is that you are not restricted in where you position them. We have several of these light fixtures installed in various places around our property. There are a couple back by our horse corrals which is 800 feet from the house and doesn’t have any electricity running to it. It’s very easy and convenient to be able to have a good source in light areas that don’t have standard household electrical wires. This is of course, only one of the reasons why installing solar spotlights is a good idea. The main reason and the reason that I think it’s most important is because every solar light that is installed in the world, has a tiny impact on the amount of fossil fuels that are needed to be burned to produce electricity.

The earth’s supply of fossil fuel is a limited resource and the time will come when we run out. The more people who do little things like installing solar lights around their home, the better off our planet will be. Not only will our fossil fuel resources last longer, the earth will be healthier in general because there will be less pollution from burning fossil fuels.

Solar spotlights are also perfect for outdoor patio lighting. If you don’t own any, you really should buy some. They are very practical yet still quite affordable.

If you’re interested in purchasing one of these solar lights, there is a very good model for sale on my website for only $73.00. You can get more information about it by clicking on the third image from left at the top of your screen.

Today we’ll be talking about an interesting use of lights called walkway lighting. Many people have walkways in their yards or gardens and would benefit from installing some walk way lights to make a walking on these paths at night safer. Not only do walkway lights make it safer, they also make your walkways much more pleasing to look at at night.

In a our yard, we have walkway lighting lining the path to our horses. These handy walkway lights make it much easier and safer when we have to go out to check on our horses at night. Our horse corral is about 800 feet from the house and there’s no electricity back there so we installed solar walkway lights. We positioned these solar walkway light fixtures on a either side of the walkway going out to the horses. They are spaced every few feet apart directly across from each other and they not only will work very well but they look quite nice. There’s no electricity necessary because these walkway lights are charged by the power of the sun.

There are all kinds of walkway lights to choose from. We use solar driveway lights for illuminating our walkway. You can use solar rock lights or other walkway lights that are connected to each other with wires that are plugged into your home if you choose. This type of lighting is a little bit more difficult to install because you have to dig a shallow trench to hide the wire in. The wire only has to be buried a few inches underground because this outdoor walkway lighting is powered by 12 volt DC electricity. You might wonder how this is possible if you plug them into your home because you probably know that your home uses 120 volt AC electricity. These walkway light fixtures have a plug on the end of them that looks like a square black box. Some people call these “wall warts” because they are a little bit ugly. These black boxes are actually small transformers that lower the voltage from 120 volt AC down to 12 volt DC for safety purposes.

Walkway lighting isn’t designed to be very bright or put out very much light. They are basically designed to give you some sort of visual reference of where steps are or obstacles might be on the walking path. There’s no reason you can’t install walkway lighting that is brighter but in general, they’re simply designed to be a guide for you while walking.

These handsome solar walkway lights are from Tektrum. They come in a package of 8 and cost $89.95. They are stainless steel and water proof.

Whether you choose to install solar walkway light fixtures or walkway lighting that you plug into your home, one thing is for sure. Your walkway will be much safer and it will look much nicer.

In today’s post I’ll be talking about some very clever solar lights called solar rock lights. If you’ve never seen solar rock lights before, you’re going to love them. Basically what they are is a solar light that is encased in a plastic or other composite material. Instead of simply installing solar lights that stick into the ground in your garden or landscaping, you can strategically position some of these handsome solar rock lights around your yard.

These rock lights have a solar panel that is molded into the rock for charging the battery. They are often constructed of fiberglass resin and other composite materials. In most cases, they will have LED light bulbs to make them more efficient and increase the length of time that the light will be able to shine. Most solar rock lights have photoelectric guy is so that they will automatically come on at night and automatically turn off in the morning when the sun comes up.

One of the beautiful things about solar powered rock lights is their extreme versatility. If you decide that you would like them in one location for a while but later you change your mind and think they would look nicer somewhere else, it’s extremely easy to simply pick them up and reposition them. Some solar powered rock lights produce colored light for an interesting effect. Solar rock lighting can also be easily used as walkway lighting to light your walkway at night.

Today we’ll be talking about how solar driveway lights can brighten up your driveway. Driveway lights have been around for many years but few people have actually installed them along the driveways. I believe that the main reason you don’t see more driveway lights in people’s landscaping is because most people are a little bit afraid of electricity and don’t want to tackle the job of wiring driveway lights up. Although the job is not difficult, it does require a little bit more work than installing solar driveway lights. Okay, if we’re going to be completely honest, they require quite a bit more work. If you’re going to install solar driveway markers, you don’t have to go through all the trouble of digging the trenches to bury the wires in because solar driveway markers don’t have if any wires.

The reason that people install solar driveway lighting is so that they have some sort of visual reference when backing out of their driveway at night. These handy solar light fixtures are usually spaced every few feet along the perimeter of both sides of your driveway. If you have a curved driveway, they are especially handy and may prevent you from driving your car into your bushes or rose garden. While driveway markers are primarily designed to keep you from driving off the edge of your driveway, they also add quite a dramatic effect to your landscaping at night. Keep in mind that creative use of outside lights can really improve the look of your property during the twilight hours.

Solar powered driveway lights are extremely easy to install. There are basically two types to a solar power driveway lights you should be aware of when making your purchasing decisions. The first types are simply designed for you to press into the ground in and a sunny location and forget about them. What could be more simple than that? The second type of solar driveway light is designed to be glued down to your driveway. These are quite easy to install as well. The hardest part is getting them evenly spaced. Since you have to glue down these solar driveway light fixtures, you want to make sure that you have the spacing perfect before you apply the glue. If the spacing is not perfect on solar driveway lights that press into the soil, all you have to do is pull them up and reposition them but at the spacing isn’t perfect if for the glue down type, you have to pry the light fixture up being careful not to break it, scrape the old glue off of it and glue it back down in the correct position.

The only thing really worth mentioning about installing solar powered driveway lights, is to make sure that you install them in an area where they will get plenty of sun exposure. If you install a solar driveway marker in the shade, it won’t get enough sun exposure to thoroughly charge the battery. This will mean that the solar driveway light won’t provide much, if any light throughout the night. Solar rock light can be used as driveway lights and the are easy to move around if you choose to.

Driveway lights can also be used to line your walkways as walkway lighting. They will make your walkways much safer and nicer to look at.

Today we will be talking about some very handy light fixtures called driveway lights. If you’ve never heard of driveway lights before, let me take just a minute and explain to you what they are. A driveway light is basically a low voltage light fixture that is designed primarily to act as if a marker along the edge of your driveway. Driveway lighting is primarily used to give drivers a clear indication of where the edge of the driveway is. Although their primary purpose is utilitarian in nature, adding driveway lighting can also improve the look of your landscaping. Having driveway lights spaced evenly along either side of your driveway really can have a dramatic effect on the appearance of your landscaping at night.

There are basically two types of driveway lights to choose from when installing this type of lighting. The first type are low voltage driveway lights that are powered by your home’s electrical system. These driveway light fixtures are low voltage for safety purposes. When you install this type of lighting around your driveway, you typically only bury the wiring a few inches deep. If your driveway lights weren’t low voltage and you accidentally cut through one of the wires with a shovel, you could receive a jolt of a lifetime.

To install this type of driveway lighting, you simply space the light fixtures evenly along the perimeter of your driveway and press the driveway light fixture into the soil. They are usually on a metal or plastic stake that is easily driven into the soil. Then, you simply dig a very shallow trench to hide the wiring between the light fixtures. Next, you place the wire in the trench and back fill over it. At the end of the run of driveway light wiring, will be a small transformer that you plug into a standard 120 volt electrical outlet. The transformer that I’ve referred to is the device that converts the 120 volts AC electricity into safe, low voltage DC electricity that will power your driveway lighting.

The next type of driveway lighting is a little bit easier to install and it is solar driveway lighting. These little solar lights are very user friendly and require basically no installation at all. To install solar driveway lighting, all you need to do is remove the solar light fixture from the package, choose the location where you would like the light to be, and press the stake into the soil. The only thing that takes a little bit of thought is the placement of the solar light fixture. You should make sure that you don’t place the solar light fixture in an area where it is always in the shade. If you do this, the sun won’t have an opportunity to shine on the solar panel and charge the solar driveway lights and you won’t get any light from them at night. A very easy to install type of driveway lights are solar rock lights. These can be positioned and moved as many times as you feel like it.

Another very handy use for driveway lights is to use them to line your walkways as walkway lighting. Not only will they make your walkways nicer to look at. They will make them safer to walk on at night.

Today I would like to talk about outside lights. More specifically, porch lights and how making a few simple changes to your patio lighting can change the look and feel of your home. Nearly all homes in the U.S., and around the world for that matter have some sort of outdoor patio lighting or porch light. It always surprises me how simple most porch lights are and how little thought usually goes into choosing the porch lighting fixtures.

In most cases, many homes have a simple one light bulb fixture on their porch and decks These porch and decking lights are often very plain and inadequate in the amount of light that they put out. With just a little bit of effort, homeowners can really change the look and feel of their home by installing a new porch light.

It’s not a difficult job to install a porch light and you don’t have to be an electrician to do it. There are no special tools needed to install a porch light. In most cases all you’ll have to do is turn the power off to avoid getting an electric shock, remove two screws to take your old porch light off, and remove the wire nuts that connect the house wires to the porch light fixture. That’s all there is to removing the old porch light.

Installing a new porch light is just as easy. All you have to do is attach that wires with the supplied wire nuts to the house wiring. The instruction manual in the light fixture will give you clear instructions on exactly what wires to connect. You don’t have to be an electronic genius to figure it out. There are only three wires to connect and you connect them with plastic wire and that that you tighten with your fingers. After you have connected the wires, you simply attach the light fixture to your home with two screws that are already in place from the installation of the old porch light fixture.

Some simple ways that you can improve your porch lighting are as follows.

Choose a porch light that matches the decor of your home.

Choose a porch light that has more than one bulb light outdoor flood lights. In many cases porch lights have light bulbs that can be aimed to direct the light onto a particular area that you want to illuminate.

Choose a porch light that has a motion sensor. If you are put out by the ugly utilitarian looking motion sensor lights of the past, you’ll be pleased to know that many very fashionable porch light fixtures come with motion sensors now days.

Choose a porch light that has a photoelectric eye. A photoelectric eye is simply a switch that automatically turns the porch light on when the sun goes down at night and automatically turns it off when the sun comes up in the morning.

You may also be interested in installing a solar porch light. Solar porch lights are becoming more and more common these days as people are trying to do their part to save energy and reduce the world’s dependency on fossil fuel. A lot of the time, people install a solar spotlight on their porches. Solar lights are very easy to install and require no wiring at all. If you’re a little skittish about messing with your home’s wiring, installing a solar porch light may be just a pure alley.

Motion Lights – One of the most common forms of outside patio lighting is motion lights. Motion lights can be solar powered or they can be powered by electricity from the home. Solar powered motion lights are becoming more and more popular because they can be installed in locations that doesn’t have regular power lines running to them.

Solar Yard Lights - These outside solar lights are generally mounted on a pole. Solar yard lights can be used to light up pathways, porches, or patios.

Solar Driveway Lights – Solar driveway lights are usually tiny solar lights that output very little light. Their main purpose is to mark the boundaries of the driveway so that someone doesn’t accidentally drive their car into the bushes.

Solar Porch Lights – This type of outdoor lighting is very common. Nearly every house in the world has some form of porch light. Many of these porch lights have motion sensors on them so that you can walk up to your door at night at clearly see what key goes in the lock. Solar porch lights can be installed quickly with little or now prior electrical knowledge with commonly found household tools

Solar Spot Lights - Installing solar spotlight or some outside flood lights is very useful for illuminating the entire yard. It’s becoming more and more popular to see solar spot lights installed in homes. Spot lights can make basket ball courts, tennis courts, and horse shoe pits usable at night time. Again, they are especially handy for areas where electricity isn’t normally located.

Gate Lights- Many people who have long driveways have lockable gates to keep unwanted visitors away. It’s nice to have a gate light so that you can enter the access code into the keypad or use your key to unlock the gate.

Solar Pathway Lighting – Solar pathway lights are perfect for making your pathway safer to travel at night.

Pool Lights - Placing lights in and around the pool or hot tub can transform the pool from a daytime only area to a day and nighttime area. Swimming or hot tubing at night can be quite relaxing and enjoyable.

Patio Umbrella Lights - Patio umbrella lights can really set the mood for the evening hours. These clever light fixtures are perfect for creating a cozy atmosphere under your patio umbrella.

These are just a few ideas of the way outside lights can be used to “brighten up” an otherwise boring yard at night. Creative use of this type off lighting can dramatically transform the outdoor areas of your property. They can also raise the property values as well since prospective home buyers will see how they could enjoy spending their time outdoors at their new property.
